Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know, all in one place.
We pride ourselves on botanical ingredients and naturally sourced formulas. All Whish products have absolutely no parabens, sulfates, or phthalates, and are also DEA & TEA free.
Yes, we love our furry friends! All Whish products are cruelty-free and Leaping Bunny certified.
Most Whish products are vegan, but there are a few exceptions. Our Sugar Scrubs and Deodorant Stick all contain beeswax, and the Coconut Milk + Verbena After Sun Soothing Gel contains manuka honey.
Most of our products are gluten-free, but there are a few exceptions. Our Hand Soaps and Bath & Body Gels contain a natural wheat-derived cleanser. Our Flawless Ingrown Hair Serum contains yeast extract. Although these products are not technically gluten-free, the molecules are too large to be absorbed. In fact, our founder has Celiac disease and uses all of our products without any adverse effects. However, the severity of an individual’s gluten sensitivity can vary, so please use your own judgment.
The majority of our product line does not contain any ingredients that are specifically advised against while pregnant or nursing, but we suggest that you always check with your physician before using any beauty or skincare product while pregnant or nursing.
Our Coconut Milk + Verbena Exfoliating Foot Mask, Flawless Ingrown Hair Serum, and our Bakuchiol Boosting Drops contain willow bark extract (a very gentle and natural form of salicylic acid). We suggest that you consult with your physician if you would like to use these particular products during pregnancy or nursing.
Our products that help moderate hair regrowth contain chaparral extract and you should consult a physician before use. These products include Deodorant Stick with Hair Inhibitor and our Body Serum with Hair Inhibitor.

These three sound similar, but they're not the same thing. "Natural" is about the ingredients themselves being plant-based or minimally processed. "Organic" is about how those ingredients were grown - it's a farming standard, not a formula standard. "Clean" is broader and looser - it just means avoiding ingredients considered controversial or harmful. Whish sits in the clean and naturally sourced category - we're not certified organic, since that certification is about how raw ingredients are farmed, not about a finished skincare product.
Any brand can print "cruelty-free" on a label - nothing requires them to prove it. Leaping Bunny is different because it's an actual certification: to earn it, a brand has to confirm that neither it nor any of its ingredient suppliers test on animals, and that has to be re-verified every year rather than claimed once and left alone. Whish is Leaping Bunny certified, so that verification is already done - you don't have to just take our word for it.
Yes - we stand behind everything with a 100% satisfaction guarantee, so even if you've already opened and tried a product and it's just not working for your skin, you're not stuck with it. The fastest way to start a return is through our Easy Returns portal in the footer menu - just enter your order info and it'll generate a prepaid return label for you. Once your item reaches our warehouse, your refund is processed automatically, no need to wait on a reply from our team first.
The easiest starting point is your specific concern rather than the product name - Whish's skin care and body care are organized around things like dryness, dullness, dark spots, wrinkles, cellulite, and stretch marks, so you can go straight to what you're dealing with instead of guessing. If you're not sure what your main concern even is, start with a bakuchiol serum or day cream - it's gentle enough for most skin types and covers the basics of hydration and anti-aging while you figure out what else you need.
Yes, like most skincare, ours has a shelf life once opened - usually around 12 months, though it can vary a bit by product. Check the packaging for a small open-jar symbol with a number and "M" next to it (like "12M") - that number tells you how many months it's good for after you first open it. Keeping products somewhere cool and out of direct sunlight helps them stay effective for that full window.
Yes - we have a wholesale program for retailers and spas who want to carry Whish. Head to our wholesale page to apply, and our team will walk you through pricing, minimums, and how to get set up as an official retailer.
Yes, we have a dedicated hotel amenities program for properties that want to offer guests a clean beauty experience - think mini shampoos, body washes, and lotions branded or unbranded for your space. Reach out through our hotel amenities page and someone from our team will help you figure out what makes sense for your property.
Every product page lists its complete ingredient list, usually further down the page near the details or "how to use" section. If you want a broader look at what we do and don't use across the whole brand, our Ingredients page breaks that down as well.
Yes - apply your Whish serum or moisturizer first, let it fully absorb, then follow with SPF, and makeup goes on last. Since our bakuchiol products don't increase sun sensitivity, they layer normally under sunscreen without any special waiting period or precaution.
A day cream and night cream pairing is usually the easiest entry point, since it covers hydration and anti-aging basics without asking you to commit to a full multi-step routine right away. From there, most people naturally add a serum or eye cream once they know how their skin responds.
